Framework principles for intellectual property, confidentiality and knowledge valorisation.
AIDI operates within CIDMA and the University of Aveiro. Collaborations with companies and other organisations follow the applicable University of Aveiro rules, regulations and procedures, including those covering intellectual property, computer programs, services, research and knowledge valorisation.
Defined at the start of the work
Where relevant, the contractual framework should clarify before development begins:
- background knowledge and intellectual property;
- results generated during the project;
- rights of use and exploitation;
- software, models, data and documentation;
- scientific publications and review periods;
- confidentiality and information access;
- partner responsibilities in collaborative projects.
Projects with companies
The specific regime depends on the engagement model, participating organisations, funding source and nature of the results. This page is therefore informative and does not replace University of Aveiro regulations or the contract applicable to each project.
